Do you comprehend the fact that we are not communicating with "the rest of the planet" here? This is an Apostolic message board. We have our own vernacular among ourselves.

Terms like: "get the victory," "pray through," "shockamoo" and others wouldn't mean much to the rest of the planet either. But again, context is important. We are talking among ourselves, not trying to communicate with the rest of the planet.
no, you don't look dumb to me, I kinda get what you mean by it... its the 7.48 billion people who aren't OPs who you need to think about...

and its a public message board, anyone can read this... and that's not my point anyways, because we say things like that in other settings that are just as public... To use "Charismatic" as an insult is not an honest representation of the word, nor is it anything but a way for you to try and belittle anyone who doesn't preach exactly what you do and yet, somehow, is spirit filled...

You use it as an insult out of fear. Out of fear that your people will never figure out that there are 480+ million people on this planet who speak in tongues who are not Oneness Pentecostals...

And this is important because...?
Its important because you can't reach people who think you are a bunch of crazies who can't even agree on stupid, un-important things...

The Bible shows Paul and James disagreeing on the entirety of the Old Testament Law and they still fellowshipped, and we can't even stay together over television... The rest of Christendom is aware of the Paul and James part, and we'd be a laughing stock if they ever knew enough about us to know we split over inane things like television advertising... Thankfully, they don't know who we are, so they don't know things like that...

There are lots of Hindus in the earth, and Buddhists and Muslims. More than all the Christian denominations and beliefs put together. Your point?

The average Apostolic layman is not stupid, and knows that there are more AoG, Charismatics, trinitarian Pentecostals, etc. Catholics are the most numerous of all Christians. Therefore?

Larry, you have no point.
No, actually there aren't... There are a few more Muslims on earth than Christians... but there are not more Buddhists or Hindus than Christians...

And the average Apostolic layman knows there are more poeple in other denominations, what they aren't always aware of is that a number of those denominations are just as spirit filled as we are... That is why you use charismatic as an insult, so you can train people into thinking that those people who are spirit filled aren't as saved as we are... thus keeping them under your control even when you right with others over silly things like television and everyone realizes how stupid that is...

yes, they have thier own vernacular... but... see, electricians aren't trying to convert everyone else on earth to electricianism... Plumbers aren't trying to make everyone a believer in the great Plumber in the sky...

However, Christians are trying to convert people to Christianity, and in order to do that, we have to be careful of what people think about us... If they think we're disconnected with reality, they aren't going to listen to anything we have to say...

as I said later (I think BOOMM might have deleted it), you aren't the insulting type, more the "talking down at someone like you think they're worthless" type...

and maybe that's just how I read it and I could be wrong, but it is how I read it...

All i said was that we as Apostolics use it in a different way than the religious world at large.

The accusation you are making is false.

I did not say it was an insult.

The term refers to those who have abandoned standards and other doctrinal points.

While I do not want to be one of those, I did not say it was an insult.

I can quote the post you are referring to.

Please retract the statement...it is a false accusation, and I can easily prove that.
oh come on, I'm not stupid. You know good and well that when you say someone is a charismatic its an insult... You know good and well that when you say someone is "turning charismatic" you are saying it as an insult...

stop pretending... We all know exactly what is meant by "charismatic"...

Larry...speak for yourself. I actually communicate based on my audience. You should too.

Again, please point out to me the post where I stated that the term was an insult. If you are going to keep saying that, you really needto prove it, and you can't.

The term refers to those who have abandoned standards and other doctrinal points, or who never had them.

If you consider that an insult, fine. But please stop saying that I said it was an insult.

Oh come on, we all know what you are saying when you say "see the sig" here...

BTW I reported this to the moderators, and we'll see if the rules of the site actually do apply to you, or if they only apply when they percieve peoplet hey like as being insulted...

I hate to have to inform you of this, I assumed you already were aware of this... but saying someone "abandoned standards or never had them" is an insult to most OPs... you know it, I know it, and everyone here knows it... stop playing dumb, it isn't becoming, and we all know better...

Larry, you seem awfully judgemental. Get some help with that.

I have stated from the pulpit in the church I pastor numerous times that there are people receiving the Holy Ghost all over the world.

This is the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. You are making false accusations again based on your faulty and wacky assumptions about me.

Larry, you are being judgmental and calling me stupid again.

I really don't mind, but it seems that you have a lot of anger inside. Do get help, Brother.

Larry, you have made a great point here, and one that I can entirely agree with.

If they were, they would pull their pants up better before they squatted down.

Good observation.
