Bro. Baxter already been on daystar. He's building his own studio so he can broadcast Politics and Religion on TV.

I wonder how long they'll be able to afford to pay for tv advertising and have their own tv programming.......after hundreds....maybe thousands of churches pull out and take their "funding" with them.

First, I don't believe the UPCI will have a national TV advertising campaign or program. It will be local churches that choose one or the other. Don't look for TV evengelism to be added to the UPCI budget anytime soon!

I doubt if anywhere near a thousand churches leave! Maybe between 100-300.

Is that a good thing?

It won't happen....I think people are going to surprised just how little this new freedom will change things...

UPC churches are not going to change doctrine or dress just because they can use a Faith Highway commercial to advertise their church schedule...

Not on your life!

I have seen so many lies posted. The best one is the one Triumphant 1 did his best to combat. You know, the hair cutting party thing?

Prominent members of this board chose to believe the lie and even continue to spread it, even though T1 had totally proved it was false.

The truth is...the UPCI is so behind the times that the T.V. issue whether voted in or not will make little effect on the church as a whole and little impact in today's world.

JMHO. Rhoni

I am sick of the whole T.V. and standards thing that it makes me want to go non-denominational
