based on your logic one application isn't enough to wipe our slate clean or to bring us in good standing w/ God.

How many coats will do it?
Well, Dan, it took three applications of the blood of a single lamb in the passover in Egypt. I am just stupid enough to believe that God, being sovereign could have made the same principle of application apply in the salvation process.

As for how much is enough. I seek to apply to the blood to my life every day.

Have you needed the blood applied to your life since you have been born again, Dan? If not, are you forever saved after initial repentance?

So God Who knows all accidently filled them too late, or it was a cosmic joke.

Of course you know I don't believe in eternal security... but one is enough to initially put me in good standing w/ God.

Way to easy.

These typologies ... kill me.

Well, I'll stop with the typologies then... I actually kind of like you and don't want you dying because of me.

This is really a subject where we will probably never agree. Call me willfully ignorant, but I am satisfied with my understanding of the scripture concerning the new birth. Sometime, hopefully we will get the chance to meet and sit and discuss this in a brotherly way and who knows what might happen.

If baptism "washes away sin", how does one get the HG before sins are remitted?

Some SBR's say you really didn't receive it ... it's a knock-off.

While others say as long as the ingredients of the recipe are there ....

while others don't know what to say ...

This issue of Sinful Union has been discussed in the Deeper Waters part of this forum.

Acts 10 smacks most PAJCers in the face.

If the HG is resurrection ... how does one resurrect before the death and burial of baptism???

Maybe you should pray me through to truth and then buy me dinner. It might be less messy because after you pray me through to truth I might start throwing up those false doctrine demons! It would be a shame to waste a good meal!

So the three steppers believe Cornelius was a mistake or that he faked it so well that Peter was confused?
