PPH Spanish Literature
Sources confirm there will be no more Spanish Literature produced by PPH in St Louis......
Seems there are deficits and for the first time in the history of a group with EXCLUSIVE MARKETSHARE, the word layoff is heard.
The deficit exists NOW prior to the supposed departure of the huddled masses spoken of on other threads.
As Matt Drudge says
Developing.......

I can confirm this ... Sources have told me the same.
This was a long time coming ... SEM has pleaded w/ Spanish ministers for years now to purchase this literature .... especially the Sunday School materials ... every national conference they were told HQ was threatening to shutting down this part of the operation and now it has happened.
Most pastors were dissatisfied w/ what they considered an inferior product compared to the materials Trinnies are producing .... and self-made materials.
HQ was translating a lot of the lesser products. I feel bad for some of the staff members at HQ in charge of translating as I know a couple quite well and their livelihoods are now adversely affected.
More PPH financial news I'm sure is forthcoming.

So this was not a product that sold at all?
And poor quality?
That changes my perspective but if they are indeed raising prices on items that do not sell, they have more than one issue there.

The product sold just not in large amounts.
IMO I think the problem was that the material was translated instead of being created by Latinos... again thats just my opinion. Its hard to explain, sometimes things get lost in translation. Maybe some of my spanish brethren can say Amen.

The issues here were merchandise quality, customer apathy and poor marketing.
A lot of this stuff was and is sitting on the shelves.

From my understanding they are not saying they will no longer sell Spanish materials. Just that they will no longer publish and print them. They will still have Spanish books available.

Yes, indeed. Which means they will not be in the business of translating the materials, also.
