Darcie, What is your background? Apostolic Assembly, UPC or other?

Steve,
Our parents came to Christ at the Manhattan Apostolic Assembly church in 1972, pastored by Robert Martinez. They were heroin addicts. Mom briefly wore the veil.
By 1974 they started attending the Bronx UPCI church pastored by Steve Barley ... John Hopkins succeeded Barley...
in 77/78 Brother Hopkins went to the missions field and left the Bronx church in Dad's care. Dad pastored the Bronx church until 1982. He then pastored in Queens, a Spanish UPCI church, from 1982 till his death in November of 2005
JC, her husband ... came out of Kenny Godair's church.

Since my father passed away almost 2 years ago, change is all I've seen in my life. I've grown so much because of these changes. Some I didn’t want to accept, but looking back those changes have made me who I am today.
Sometimes when God is moving us toward change circumstances come into our lives to make us seek His will and look for His guidance.
With that said, we have seen God closing doors for us here in Wilmington since the early spring. Not knowing where to go and what to do, God miraculously placed a very lovely and anointed couple in our lives, Eddie and Sherri Cupples.
I am so excited to announce that we have decided to move to Jackson TN to be under their ministry at Love and Truth Church. We can't wait to see what God has in store for us. Pastor Eddie has so much vision to reach the lost. God has shown him the need to reach the Spanish community, and that’s where my husband and I come in to serve.
Wilmington has been a stepping stone in our lives. We have no regrets, we’ve learned so much here…but it’s time for a change!

I pray God's single annointing on you.
God Bless,
Nathan Eckstadt

I have also been intrigued. Having met Bishop Cupples at Myrtle Beach this summer ... I can see why he's had so much success. He's humble and loves people. Apparently, he's learned to delegate while still keeping a tight ship ... something that micro-managing pastors need to learn.

Please pray for us in Columbia TN. We have a huge amount of Latinos and we are trying to reach them. We have one Pueto Rican family whom are commitied and are trying to help us. They are an older couple but he is doing his best and our pastor has been letting him teach a sunday school class in our old sanctuary. I am the outreach minister and have been working on my spanish but I still run into a lot of barriers when trying to communicate with many of them. God bless you brother and sister and I will be praying for the spanish ministry there in Jackson.

My husband came out of KG's church... we congregated there briefly after we were married, but then moved back to NYC to be under dad. We moved here after dad passed. My husband was pastoring a daughter work here in Wilmington. And yes we are no longer UPC.
