She was probably calling to make sure that they made it home safely and have all their homework done and are tucked in for the night......

I wish! Just typing too fast I am afraid. Pretty funny though.
I did actually think of a legit scenario though where she might have had reason to be on the phone with them then. What if her girls are wild and these calls are her trying to track them down?????

Nah, she probably figures they wouldn't answer so she's calling their guy friends for help locating them....
