One thing I've appreciated about you over the years (can you believe that! years! Who would have thought!) Anyhow, I digress........ One thing I've appreciated about you over the years on here and the past forums is that you know where you stand on things. And you are not afraid to say where that is. But at the same time, I can't think that I've ever heard you put someone down just because they don't agree with you.
I realize that this is a very important issue to you. Probably even more so because of your husband's experiences in the past in Africa.
And I appreciate the fact that you've taken a stand on where YOU stand on this, but you have not condemned others for where they stand.
Thank you for that.

You know, I haven't been around here very long, but from what I have seen, I would have to agree with you. Which brings up a point that bothers me. I don't know much about Sis. Sherri, but what I have seen so far would lead me to believe that we have different beliefs in at least a few areas. But it concerns me when I see more grace and Christian kindness coming from those who are supposedly not "following all truth" than those who are waving their Bible (or rhetoric) around trying to prove how right they are. Just an observation.

AMEN AND AMEN.

"Many Christians do not try to understand what was written in a verse in the Bible. Instead they approach the passage to prove what they already believe."
