Southern California On Fire Again!!

I remember the Oakland hills fires. what a mess that was.

1000 homes destroyed! VERY Expensive homes facing the SF city skyline.


part of the problem was the eucalypus trees

My husband has family in San Diego. I hope they're not in the line of fire.....

The fire officials are saying this will be worse than the fire we had 4 years ago. BAAAAD!

Thad, looks like you'll be experiencing some fire when you come to LA tomorrow. The winds are not supposed to die down for 2 days.

Yes....I am away from the mountain and valleys....I live along the coast of San Diego. There is a lake and a bunch of concrete (buildings) before it would get to us.

Now air quality is another story!

I think i might wait till weds morning- my brother is driving down with me.
I like to drive at night to avoid the traffic mess but i guess i'll have to suffer.

I think they said it's suppose to die down by tuesday night , right ?

MAN O MAN we have had NO rain this year- maybe a couple of inches ? and we're talking all the way from last year

To be perfectly honest, I could not tell you. I got to go to CA for Thanksgiving 2004.

We spent three days in Los Angeles with his brother and some more family, and a couple of days in San Diego.

I know one of his cousins that we visited with in San Diego have a fabulous, very expensive house sitting on a cliff out there somewhere. (I know that narrows it down alot - ha!!)
