Long Beach, I think, is okay. We are primarily getting San Diego news....which our county is taking the brunt of these firestorms. ALL of the major networks are here and the Gov. has been basing out of San Diego since early yesterday.

Renda...I wish we had your rains too.

Actually, I wish the winds would change to our normal onshore flow.

JUST RIGHT NOW....we just got a reverse 911 call (where the police call you) to let us know our area has been placed under a voluntary evacuation and to proceed west.

I went back and forth between CNN, Fox, and the WREG Memphis news. It looks horrible. They were talking about the jail evacuation when I was watching.

San Diego zoo ordered closed, Wild Animal park in immediate danger!

Just found this. This means our cousins are in great danger again!

uhm, I know that is really the only option but isnt "proceeding west" a limited option?

the very idea, of people on the WEST COAST being told to "proceed west" just strikes me funny.

I can see fox news on the beach with a half million California-ite Refugees all standing in knee deep water on the beaches.
