In the context of the thread, how about these...

** I love you ** You are important to me ** Thank you ** Please ** What can I do for YOU? ** Here, let me help you or do that for you ** It's okay ** We're gonna get through this ** You can depend on me ** That was a good job ** I appreciate you ** I see your point ** Let me tell you what a good husband, wife, child, parent, or friend you are to me ** You look so nice today ** That color is perfect for you ** I am proud of you **I forgive you ** I am sorry ** Please forgive me ** You are right ** I was wrong ** I respect you ** It's okay to try again** I trust you** I believe in you **
Respect goes a long way. But without love you can't have respect.

I remember having to speak to the ladies and the Lord told me to tell them that we need to come into His presence often to be filled with love so that we could in turn love.

Isn't it just amazing how you can melt with forgiveness for anyone and any situation when you've been in the presence of the Lord?

Words are so powerful and healing but can in turn be also hurtful and damaging! Good post, Barb!

Thank you, PO...you know, I do my best to try to live by this, I really do. But when situations arise and words get thrown around, it takes great effort remembering I am not the old Barb and that zipping my lip is taking the high road. A friend reminded me of that just the other day, God bless her heart.

Thank God for the Holy Ghost and for His reminder as well that HE will speak to our critics and HE will be our strong tower in the face of adversity.

And you are SO right about being in His presence. It softens the hardest heart and brings repentance and healing....if we would but spend more time there.

Words are indeed powerful and carry tremendous weight everywhere, but never as much I thing as in the realm of the Spirit.

The old nursery rhyme is wrong...words can and do hurt, wound and even kill. They may not harm the body, but they can harm the soul and spirit of an individual, which to me is worse.

I was thinking this very thing, about myself, while I was posting my response.

So easy to preach and become a castaway, huh? lol

The Thread is about words that bring healing. My statement was most ministers are saying sow a seed and get your healing, financial blessing and even get your lost loved ones saved.

So the big word for healing in most churces today has to be "Sow".

Not only will these words bring healing, but try them out on a stranger and see if the word is not manifested, A soft (gentle) answer turns away wrath.

This is a brand new day to bring healing, restoration, and reconciliation...these words will build a bridge that cannot be destroyed!!
