Well, I actually have a Remington Model 870 Express 20 gauge. Its my mainstay and will be the one under my arm come opening morning. Its a pump and packs a bit of a kick but not near as bad as some 12's I've shot.
However, I've always wanted a Remington 12 gauge semi-auto so my husband and HO went in together and got me one for my birthday a few months ago. I haven't shot it yet so I really don't know what the kick will be like. It will be a secondary gun to my 20 gauge...one I will use just for fun after I down a couple with my tried and true 20 gauge.
I also have two sweet shooting rifles but mostly I hunt in an area where rifles aren't allowed. I have a Remington Model 742, semi-auto 243 and a Browning Bar semi-auto 30-06.
And then theres my muzzleloader...I have a TC 50 caliber Black Diamond. Talk about sweet! My first in-line muzzleloader often failed to fire and caused several missed opportunities. The Black Diamond has never failed to fire even with damp powder pellets. It was the funniest thing...I was target practicing and didn't know the pellets had gotten damp. I actually saw the bullet come out and land 10 yards in front of me.
