I do not have a dog in this fight since I am not UPC but I think if advertisement ALONE were the issue probably some accomodations could be made. But most see this as a signal to lift the ban on television period. In all honesty in the 50 mile area where I pastor I do NOT know one UPC preacher that makes any type of stand on television. Their churches are full of them.
Their officials in the churches have them without any reprocussions. I have never understood the hoopla over it? I am afraid the UPC will follow the path of the PAW in time to come particuarly if those attending the Tulsa meeting do pull out.
