You know, EB should be your friend as well. You are a Christian, right?

So now that I brought up the fact that EB did not say that women preachers are lesbians, you’re trying to use humor as a diversion, right? Trying to make a funny to get the focus off your mistake? Yep, my kids do the same thing sometimes…. When they do I remind them that maturity is measured by how one accepts their responsibilities.

Doesn’t it bother you that you misrepresented EB? You do realize that he is a preacher, yes? Doesn’t your smearing him bother you even a little bit? You really need to apologize to EB for claiming he said something that he did not. You also need to apologize for belittling him when he could not respond due to being banned. Brother Eastman, you should be ashamed! As a matter of fact, every poster who misrepresented EB with this woman preacher/lesbian slurring should apologize. If you’re honest, you all will.

LadyRev, please give us the sciptures you are reading that says any of this. The woman is the head of the house? Really? And there are several 'heads' of the Church? Wow.

L&F, I thought you knew your Bible.

1Ti 5:14
I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

guide the house:

1. to be master (or head) of a house
2. to rule a household, manage family affairs

That's according to the Strong's, and is only used in that verse.

As for the 'multiple heads' claim, do you disagree that a woman has her husband as well as God as her head? If not, that means she has two heads! Nothing wrong with that, but it is Biblical.

As for multiple heads in the church, that's absolutely Biblical. Paul never advocated a one-man-show when it came to church government.

Ac 14:23
And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.

Ac 20:17
And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.

Jas 5:14
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

Elders......not elder.

You are honestly looking for scripture that says 'not all elders are apostles, pastors, teachers, etc and vice-versa'???

Do you have scripture saying that they are? I didn't see one from you.

1Ti 5:1
Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;

1Ti 5:2
The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.

You also have a problem with that above scriptures, since it's lists women as elders too. Don't think so?? The same Greek word is used in both scriptures for 'elder'.

You answered my post about Acts 8? I looked at all the posts since I posted it and there is nothing from you regarding that passage, except when you ask me if that's all I have. Perhaps you can link me to it since it's not on my screen?

There is nothing in his post that indicates that those women were acting like lesbians. Acting masculine doesn't make one a lesbian anymore than acting feminine makes one a sissy or queer.

It's not like it's the first time he's done that.

Not only does that not say that female preachers are lesbians... it's an exercise in dishonesty to say that this is remotely calling female preachers lesbians.

What would be so hard about understanding what was said? That post said nothing more than the individual believes in female preachers as long as they don't act like manly lesbian type women.

Not only is that NOT calling female preachers lesbians but, as stated, I would agree 100%. I've had women speak here in days gone by but I can't imagine anybody wanting to hear a female preacher that acted manly.

Steadfast, there was nothing in his post at all that related in any way to lesbians, and when asked, he was unable to explain why he used that term when referring to preacher women acting masculine.

Just exactly how does a 'masculine lesbian' act, and how does it relate to women preachers?

He could have stopped with saying what you did above.....that he didn't care for women acting manly in the pulpit, but it was his bringing up lesbians into his post where I had issues.

There are men who act feminine in the pulpit, and some of those men have been spoken about on this and other forums, but do we call them feminine queers? No, we stop at just referring to them as feminine, because to also call them queers has nothing to do with acting feminine, but would be, in fact, a low blow, would it not?

You think I should be ashamed? That's funny, especially in light of the fact that I even bothered to converse with you. But, if it'll make you happy......
I'm ashamed that an Apostolic preacher would imply that women who preach are lesbians, I'm ashamed to be a part of OUR friends belief system that any woman who preaches is a lesbian. I'm also ashamed that he is a preacher who posts "macho" looking women in a picture to indicate what he thinks w/out actually saying what was on his mind. It does my heart good to see that we have a fair and equitable admin staff that administered justice. Do you want to keep going?
