Good morning STS and everyone else!  It is feeling more like winter here everyday! I guess it is time for me to get the old dreaded coat out, I hate winter time.
I am sooooo excited, I posted something about my job awhile back about how it had changed a little and it was way better now, well......my (new)boss came into my office yesterday and told us that our office was being "dispersed" - we are a group of advisors who meet with Freshman students - and that everyone would be sent to the actual divisions of their choice of study. So, naturally, I felt my chest getting tight and was thinking "here we go, my job's getting cut"...and then she said .."but, we don't want to loose you, we are going to keep you even if it means moving you up a level and giving you more work" I was soooo happy, not only will I be staying but possibly moving up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isn't God good?????

Sis I am so happy for you...I know this had been an ungoing thing for a long time...God's is so good to us!

Glad everyone is doing well in Gabby Land. I have been very busy around here. My husband and I are buying a second home ( condo) where he is from. He needed to own a little property in North LA. He has lived at my home since we have been married ( 7 years) and now he wants to fish and relax on more familiar territory. SOOo we are purchasing this condo on a lake. Well we close the deal the week of Thanksgiving - and I am cooking Thanksgiving dinner for 15 people!!!! I have been planning, making lists and cleaning so I will be ready. I have finished most of the shopping today. I am going to start cooking tomorrow- I plan to make cornbread dressing and sweet potato casserole tomorrow and freeze it. I also have to make Chicken and Sausage Gumbo for Saturday- It is always better if it sits a while before you eat it. So I will be a cooking machine tomorrow.

OH yummmmmmmm I love Gumbo...I love lousian cookin....oh yeah! We have some friends that live in N.O. and we so enjoyed eating anything and everything that was put before us! I miss the south!

Yes, I know. I finally had to come to grips with reality and realize that we just can't afford for me to stay home and that I just need to be thankful that my children are able to go and stay with their grandma and aunt everyday at no charge and that I just need to be thankful that I have a good job with EXCELLENT benefits - because some people would do anything to have my job. Jasmine is now in pre-school which would have happened regardless, so......I'm happy.

I am glad your happy...and I know it has to be hard....but your doing the best you can do and that is all we can do...love ya
