Must've been slow today...railing against standards is always good for a page or two

Standards are so different from church to church I am always wondering how each church believes...
I think we should have standards and we should live by what our pastor teaches. Personal opinions and personal convictions are different. We should not force our opinions on others but we should teach what we feel is right.

We must worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth!
We must balance the law with the spirit of the law.

Without spirit you are legalist and a pharisee.
Without truth you are lopsided and of no good.
Now THIS I agree with!

AMEN!!
Bishop Peter's has taught this to us for years, and many have condemned him for it. He taught us to love and fellowship with one another, no matter the differences.

I always admired Bishop Peters for his attitude about those that differed with him. Bishop Peters ordained my husband as Bishop.

I know a Bishop Peter's from Tn that has past on now, but that is what he would always preach/teach...fellowship. Not for the sake of looking good, but the sake of joining together for one purpose, to worship the King! That is a thing we are missing is fellowship no matter what. That they may be one is what God wants and that is what He should get.

And thats what He will have. A truly unted church... not the divided organizations and denominations we have today. A church that is united around Him, not some doctrine ABOUT Him. I believe Paul made it clear that God would present Himself with a holy church, without spots, wrinkles and blemishes. God's church needs an Extreem Makeover so we can conform to His image as He intended. Conform to rules, , creeds and traditions? Not God's church. God' s church conforms only to His Word. It is a UNITED church and not in name only. The brother you speak of must have been one after God's own heart... "that we may be one" was Jesus' prayer for us, and we will be One with Him, or we will be left behind!

Without standards everything would be chaos and confusion. Don't you think?
