because they are not like Christ.

I would like to suggest that you remove, "In Jesus Name" from your signature, because certainly not every time you put your fingers to the keyboard is what you say representative of something Jesus would endorse or even be proud of...

Frankly, I find it insulting and close to taking the name of the Lord in vain.

...and God bless you too by the way.

TOTALLY OUT OF LINE! You may not agree with EB but this is NOT the way to deal with it.

just so it is clear how I feel about this thread...

Consequently, his postings are bi-polar, right?

I believe EB is a fine example of how he can take what he dishes out.

I have tremendous respect for any man who believes the writings of Josephus are canon.

*wink*

Well well well...just finished reading a very nice PM from our Good Brother B., heartfelt, very decent of him to reach out, it was well received.

I went back and reviewed what I wrote, and it was my kneejerk reaction to what I had read. I told Brother B. I need to clean out the filter between what I read and what I type in response.

Brother B is a good man to be sure, but he has one thing in common with Daniel Alicea and I am not sure if it is a good thing or bad thing, but it is somewhat annoying. They both stand strong on what they believe, however they are quick to dismiss and even to an extent ridicule any position other than their own.

I am not sure if my daughter were ever to tell Brother B. that she likes Christmas, that he would admonish her not to follow Roman Catholic paganism.

So, if I offended, I apologize, however, the idea is good that in all ways we represent the Christ we profess...and it applies to especially me!

Not very christian., either way., one can be different or UNIQUE just be glad for that, I sure wouldn't want everyone to be just like me, do everything I do or don't , think like I do..(*gee that sounds like how mom expects everyone to be, or else!*) that would just foil the whole idea.
BUT..we are ALL to be just like JESUS.
Do what He says Do; don't Do what He doesn't explicitly say TO DO; don't do what He says Don't DO..and so on.
It is near impossible., but TRY we must., fall/get back up, TRY TRY again., never relenting till some degree of progress is achieved..and onward to perfection., one glorious day.

The fact of the matter is that we are all in a state of constant flux. This is not to say there are no absolutes, but we are subject to these absolutes because of our limited understanding, our culture, our personalities, our choices and the abstract nature of God Almighty.

Not one single one of us is perfect, and not one single one of us is infallible in our thinking or our opinions.

I know it sounds pretty meely mouthed, but lest any man think he has all the absolutes wrapped up in a nice tidy air-tight box, get ready, there is a reckoning ahead.
