Praise Report Man comes out Coma

I was asked by a friend of my mothers to go and pray for a man who bodily functions and organs were shutting down in preparation for death, also he was in a coma. It didn't look good. I didn't know the man, he owns a large trucking firm in the area where I live. Needless to say I got home after a long day at work and was called to go and pray for him, desperate need.

So I went, tired, unmotivated, praying quietly that the Lord would heal through me. When I arrived he was in ICU with his daughter and wife. Both were in tears, looking hopeless. After introducing myself, I asked permission to pray for him, I laid my hands on his head (not feeling much of a unction or anointing, just being obedient to pray for healing) and rebuked death, commanded his organs to he healed and whatever is wrong to be made right, while praying his eyelids fluttered by that's it. Couldn't sense much in the way of progress. Proceeded to pray for the daughter and mother that God would comfort them, short prayer, total time about 5 min. Gave them my contact information then turned and walked out.

Got a call today, that the man's came out of the coma, his organs are functioning and the are expecting him to make a recovery. He still is not out of the woods, but the family knows that the prayer for healing brought him back.

Praise God that he still heals when your tired, frustrated and basically operating out of obedience to the call of doing what Jesus did. I love this scripture and quoted as I walked towards the room, "As the Father sent me so I send you".

What an awesome testimony, Bro. Keith4Him,

The chorus to an old song came to mind as I finished your post.

Ready to go, ready to stay, ready my place to fill;
Ready for service lowly or great, ready to do His Will.

My late father moved his growing family to a Dallas suburb in

1950. He had acquired a good job in a nearby city. He worked

hard each weekday and came home tired and would renew

himself shortly after getting home by retreating to their bedroom

for a time with his God. He led his family in family alter each night.

One day a neighbor lady came and asked Dad and Mom if they

would be willing to go pray for her sister who had just been

diagnosed with cancer. They willingly did so. Later it was found

that the sister didn't have cancer after all. Our small town was

abuzz and the doctor who diagnosed the cancer suddenly moved

away. This lady lived until three or four years ago. I asked her son

at another funeral, just after his mother had passed on at an old

age if he remembered the incident. He said he most certainly did.

Through the years many, many people asked for prayer from this

humble man and his wife. God starts preparing those who will make

themselves available for the Master's use. He sees the need for men

to provide for their families. He sees the needs yet if His people will

only be willing to do the "small tasks first, He will provide the provision

and strength for all that needs to be done. God honors willingness,

attitude and the desire to do His Will.

If men and woman, in their God-given roles, will take care of their own

first, then HE will take care and provide for HIS own. If we are faithful in

little, He will make us "rulers" over much. Not the other way around.

Bro. Keith4Him, you went in spite of being tired, praying to a faithful

God, knowing it was up to Him. You did what you COULD do. He did

what you could NOT do.

Unmotivated. Tired. Simple, 5 minute prayer. Yet, God was moved by faith. What a mighty God we serve. If a simple, 5 minute prayer can do this, what can a concerted, fervent prayer do? We already know... "The Effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much!" But, then again... we know it wasn't the prayer that did it...it was the God who answers by fire. THank you, brother, for a great testimony of God's Power. Believe me, it is much needed.

Good report Keith! It "maketh the bones fat!" We need these first hand examples to let us know our Father is "not very far from any one of us".

Isn't it somethin how a great thread like this dies so quickly? While others that are, shall we say, less than great, seems to flourish? I wonder what this says of us?

That is a great testimony Keith!
It is also one more reminder that it isn't so much about us as it is about him!
Pray when you feel the unction, pray when you don't, and leave the results up to him!

I am an equipper at heart, which means I like to teach as I operate/minister, so I wanted people to know my emotional, mental state and frankly I wasn't feeling awfully spiritual at the moment. But you are right, remember the words of Peter, why look upon us if by our holiness the man stands before you whole, but by Faith in Jesus (paraphrase).

But it never ceases to amaze what the Lord will do!
