That area is so ugly it is painful. I don't like the desert (however I do like dessert). When you fly into Phoenix it is just said to see al of the dirt and rock yards with a couple of cactus plants for decoration.
The resorts are pretty because they spend a forturne on irrigation but everything else is desolate.

You're going to think this is funny...I was in Tucson last month and that's what I thought about *Tucson*. Dry, dusty, full of rock yards. I know that's not true, but that's what I saw driving around. And I live in Phoenix!
