Well much to your dismay Mich, there are many who have left, then came back and are very happy they did! There is JOY in the Lord! Things may be rough for some. He never promised we wouldnt have trials but... they make us stronger and without Him... I DO know where I would be and dont like that insight very well...

Are you saying you can't feel Him in an Apostoic church?

He is not contained anywhere, however, He is felt all over the world, INCLUDING Apostolic churches.

Never said ONLY Apostolic churches.

Oh goodness me, It certainly doesn't bother me if people choose to go back to the UPC, etc. I just don't understand why they would want to. I know for reasons far beyond my understanding that many are apparently happy there. And to that I say more power to them. I personally am much happier now.

I didnt read many of the middle pages so if this was missed please forgive me.

I really like what Ive read and so many make wonderful points on this subject...There was one thing that comes to mind that I didnt really see.

Fear. I know many people fear God which is the beginning of wisdom but they never learn to TRUST God. Fearinng God without trusting that his will is perfect is a recipe for disaster. those that leave over fear/trust issues, even when they return, unless they come to a place where they no longer fear that Gods will is perfect, and unless they can come to truely trust God, they will never really find there place with Him.

any way, I hope that helps.

God Bless.
Great Post Sir Ferd,

In between ebaying at work, you should read the whole thread. It has been excellent.

I didn't mean to imply that he wasn't found in Apostolic churches, was only taking exception to what I perceived was your assumption that it was the only place to find him.

Not even close.

Find Him in my home, in my car.

I'm sorry you have let PEOPLE influence you about worshipping Him in His house.

LOL, actually it has nothing to do with people. I can't think of a single person who I have anything against. But I do have some serious issues with the system, and the mindset, in general, and therefore it is not anything that I want to be a part of.

Isn't the "system" and mindset established by "people"?

Yes, it is.

However, I have found that people tend to mirror what they have been taught. They see a set response or answer, to a particular situation or question, and when faced with a similar situation, they do likewise. Over time the mindset perpetuates itself.

So how could I blame anyone for simply acting the way that they were taught to act?

True, but that goes both ways. Those that believe it is not true have been conditioned to believe that as well.
