If you choose to have a woman usurp the authority of a man then so be it, but I am not having it! Its against the teachings of the Bible and I wont stand for it. Women preachers may be in Heaven, but there WORKS will be burned!
Remember, to PASTOR is to have AUTHORITY OVER and a woman CANNOT have Biblical Authority over a man. In society, she can be a judge, she can teach men but Biblicaly, she cannot rule or have authority over a man. I'm done with this as this post was not about women preachers.
By the way, look at these disobediant women preachers like Juanita Bynum and Paula White. OH what an example to follow huh??????????????????

Even if I disagree with you, I wouldn't bash your beliefs. I'm open to learning other points of view, but this is the way I understand the Scriptures. I don't believe it's biblical for a woman to teach or usurp authority over a man, she should learn in silence and subjection. If a woman is going to do any teaching, it should be in her home with her children, or perhaps with the children of her church (before the boys become men), or an older women are permitted to teach the younger women. Other than that, I don't see Scripture authorizing women to preach in the assembly.
GOD BLESS!

Pointing to 2 miscreants does not an argument make PH .... imagine if we held that standard for let's say integrity in the ministry ... and point to Jimmy Swaggart and Ted Haggard .... as a reason why we shouldn't trust our pastors.

When a church gets past a few hundred a lot of that is lost, and soon one has to schedule meetings through a secretary to get an appointment with anyone in the ministry.
When a church gets too big, the right things to do, from my understanding, seems to be to start daughter works and reach out to other communities, so that others can be reached, and a simple church pattern be preserved.

It is easier to remember names when people don't use "Bro." to introduce themselves.

The UPC church I went to had a woman that preached, and the pastors wife preached sometimes too. I preached when pastor was out, and I could not in good conscious turn down an oppurtunity to preach if I knew that me not preaching would mean a woman would be preaching. It became too stressful, I had to remove myself.
