Yes, Stress can cause an outbreak of hives.
Here's what I found on the net: It has some suggestions of things you can do to help the symptoms.

Absolutely, Miss CareyM... it also can cause miniscule blisters to come out on your fingers and the palms of your hands- I just recently found THAT out the hard way... Very painful...
Don't you ladies just HATE to be stressed about stuff?? I get up from praying, and leaving things on the altar, just to pick them up again within a matter of hours...

Stess can cause hives, but you can suddenly develop an allergy to things you have always used. I developed an allergic reaction to aspirin when I was 40 years old. I had taken aspirin all my life. But one day I took one and I broke out in hives. So it could be something you have been using and developed an allergic reaction to. Your body chemistry changes.

Well, I just returned from meeting with the diabetic consultant I have met with before and she agreed that I don't quite need insulin just yet - especially sincet his week my numbers have been lower and she called my doctor's office to try and get them to hold off on it however the doctor that ordered it is out of the office until next week and he would have to be the one to reverse it, so they said for me to go ahead and start it and wait till my appt next week and see what they say - maybe they will take me off it and watch my numbers again. But the lady I met with told me that is probably for the best anyways since in the last month of pregnancy your body requires 3X the amount of insulin than it normally does. And they are putting me on the lowest dose possible. It is just more of a pain in the rear than anything in my opinion. THe needle doesn't bother me at all, it is just the process of doing it and staying on a consistant schedule.

I have a praise report! I asked the ladies here, and RonB to pray about my licensure, it has been a slow and intricate process...but finally..I am there: Rhonda R. Cyprus, M.A., LPC, LSW, QMRP
Praise God!
