See here is the deal, that was the Sunday sermon by the youngster evangelist. He held up his watch, told us the time and said, THE RAPTURE IS GOING TO TAKE PLACE IN 5 MINUTES, WHAT WOULD YOU DO? EVERYONE SHOULD BE AT THIS ALTAR!!!
The intent was to have everyone come to the altar to weep and cry and repent and stuff. The interesting thing was that the majority of people up there were church people.
My immediate thought was I would be running the backs of the pews shouting GLORY at the top of my lungs!
I guess I am so tired of this attitude in the church of "I wanna be saved" "I hope I am saved" "I want to make sure things are right!"
Ok, we humans? When do we get up from off our knees? When is it enough?
When do we ever have salvation as something tangible and not abstract.
David said he had joy in his salvation.
Apostolic people haven't worked hard enough for it apparently.

The 80's mentality is still alive and well, I see.
I remember these kinds of services when I was a teen. It was scary at the time, all the prophecy stuff and the rapture taking place any minute being preached. I think I was the most prayed up kid in my church!

Thanks for this. I really, really needed that right now.
I am 100% certain of my salvation. I could never have done what's been done, I didn't even want to when I started this journey back to God. Every single step has been a miracle. Even though I'm still fighting some things and still wrestling with God, I am confident that He has saved me, I will be with Him, and if I decided to change that, it'd be a pretty blatent choice that only I could make. We're still working on the joy there, but I guess that gives me a goal.
As for being ready for the rapture? I just had a thought that made me laugh. Cuz..I'm irreverant like that sometimes. God would seriously not have done what He's done to get me where I am, to leave me sit here if the rapture were to happen now. I guess that's confidence.

God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we're in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ. ~Romans 3:24 from The Message

I would call my Daddie to tell him goodbye, and what he would need to do to make it during the tribulation. 5 minutes wouldnt be enough time for him to get right.
