Their blog??? ... this blog doesn't belong to the Aguilars or the Assembly ... it's the pinings of one man .... and those who comment on it.
The blog belongs to Tony Leybas.
His profile says:
Age 35, 5th Generation Apostolic, Ministries: Family Counseling, Musician, Teaching, Author
You stated in post one that Abel Aguilar attested to his marriage being at risk to being dissolved because of this petty lawsuit and blogs....
Yet you provide no proof of this serious matter ... only a blog that we most comb through to read the blatherings of one blogger.
Thad ... where is the audio to support this claim that Abel Aguilar addressed the convention and said his wife threatened to divorce him???
Quote:
ALERT
Allegedly His wife is humiliated and stressed out because all of the blogs discussing the corruption of the board.
ALERT
Abel Aguilar told the convention last month his wife threatened to divorce him because of the talk of their family on the blogs!!!!!!!

I suppose they WERE, but like everything else in THE CHURCH, people are more and more gaining momentum to do exactly as THEY please.
Period.
Personally I don't consider it a 'standard' but a holy consecration unto GOD and biblically correct as well. I struggle to comprehend how some women can be so against something so awesome. *shrug*

If you were at a restaurant, they expected you to put it on to pray for your food and if you forgot a veil, they took the napkin and put it over their head.
Growing up my sisters wore one to appease the veil police! Save your apology for somebody who doesn't know any better. what apology and for what?
You are welcome to wear whatever you want, but don't make it appear that it's voluntary. They (taliban) may not of sent you to hell, but you were certainly sent to purgatory.

Having been baptized into the AA almost 10yrs ago, just about everyone wore them, and as the years have slipped by I've seen less of the younger women commit to wearing them, BUT its has been MY experience that no one so-called "enforced" them nor made others to feel bad about it., when women ask questions to the other sisters ABOUT the veils, we (not the pastor) answer them, and provide a veil IF they ask for one., I have seen this happen more than not.
Sorry that your experience may have been different, again I don't think that anyone should be forced to do something that is not from the heart or soul., it rather negates the intent., I've seen many of the high-ranking(?) official sisters NOT wear them to pray before eating at public restaurants, soo nothing surprises me. People being human, is all.

Sorry that I am 'touchy' about this topic., I am not so much 'offended' as bewildered., but as usual I get over it.

You still need to BACK OFF of Bro Scott! Your bewilderment is no reason to jump down his throat! NOW go take your Premysn and leave him alone or I assure you , the rest of the forum will be right here behind me backing this comment!

It's ok I do get a little silly sometimes,as a matter of fact I do have a dear brother in Christ who teaches the veil doctrine ,and I'm cool with that, my wife doesn't wear one but I appreciate the convictions of those that do.
