What is being judged, and how is she uncovered? Should we judge whether veils and coverings are socially relavant? Or should each woman judge what "long" is for her hair?

Here's an idea. The meaning of the greek word is "razer". Remember Sampson was not to let a razer touch his head? Paul probably took the nazarite vow, which vow says they are to grow their hair long and uncut for the duration of the vow. So they were not to cut it. They were not to shear it or let shears touch it. Shorn is simply the past tense of shear. It does not necessarily have to mean shave till bald or peach fuzz....however we do have to look at the context and Paul was executing his vow. The nazarite vow was ended with the complete removal of the hair

Speaking from personal experience, I believe that there are a lot of people who think a woman with her hair down is imodest in some sense. That a man is attracted to a woman's long hair and it can be a "hang-up" for him to see a woman and her long hair in church. Doesn't make much sense to me, never has, but then again, I am not old-generation Pentecost or a man. I have hair that is almost to my knees. It gets in my way when I wear it down, so I can understand wanting to wear it up to get it out of the way. I did have a un-Apostolic friend question why our women have long hair if all we do is pull it back and stick it in a bun. What's the point? I seem to get a colder reception when I wear my hair down in church. You know, those "looks" from other women. LOL Oh well, I don't really care what others think anymore, I just check it with my husband first and he thinks I can wear my hair any way I want - as long as it's not cut. (He even sanctions this post. )

Hair up or hair down does not make a woman more spiritual...precious time is lost over lists of people wanting some strange or different doctrine that makes them feel more spiritual...
and no I do not cut my hair...
NO one can take the Bible and prove hair up or hair down and I have heard all the scriptures...I know some try to say hair down is more spiritual so down it comes others try to say long flowing hair attracts men's attention...so up it goes...
We had better be silent when the bible is silent...
