Ha! You quote nahkoe's post and address me. Oh well.

I would just encourage you to continue with the tolerance towards the discussion on both sides because without it there will be lots less of it. (Discussion I mean.)

I noticed that too. lol

I think I'm tired as I had to read it a few times to get what he was saying and who he was saying it to.

If open discussion of all points of view on any topic wasn't allowed, I would be the less knowledgeable for it.

I've learned a number of things on these forums that I wouldn't know today if there hadn't been discussion allowed and some of it was red hot too. (The discussion I mean) LOL!

And it all starts with:

"After much study and prayer I have come to a different conclusion than that which I was taught for many years."

"Compromiser! You're attacking Apostolic doctrine."

"Don't be such a Catholic."

"You're nothing more than a shouting Baptist!"

And of standards:

"I don't believe such and such is necessary."

"You don't stand for nothing!"

"I still believe in holiness, just not your application thereof."

"You're on the slippery sloap. Next thing you will be okay with two boys kissing."

Haha Berk!

Of course, some of the *ahem* discussion that has taken place on these forums has been much worse than the example you give above.

But we've survived and developed thick hides and straighter spines as a result and even learned some things in the process.

Hehe.

nahkoe, nothing wrong with open discussion of issues that strengthen our walk and beliefs. Sadly, some throwing mud can do much better at tolerance and discussion.

I am gonna be late for work. Buried today.....
I for one, need to be challenged and stretched. I go stir crazy and all that if I don't find something to really chew on every day or few.

I can *mostly* handle what's put out here, unless I'm really chewing on something and a discussion comes up and I just want to see all the different viewpoints and what people think and why and things deteriorate quickly. I usually walk away from those threads, at least until I'm in a different state of mind.

Buried...? Snow?

Amen Felicity! You are exactly right. One must also beware of those so convinced of their own "rightness" that they alone speak the "truth" while everyone else's is merely a "version". Blindness isn't always physical.

Get it right! It's "lost as two boys kissing".
