I heard Joel say that when the UPC's organized his father had already belonged to a number of fledgling Oneness assocations over the years. When the UPC's appealed for Bro. W.T. Hemphill to join, he quoted them a portion of Genesis 49:6 which read, "...BE THOU NOT UNITED."

I did not know that anyone else knew of a little town called Bude..We had a hunting camp there at one time. I spent many hours in a hunting stand there..

Maybe I'm wrong but somebody said that the Elder Hemphill was agains't organization.I understand alot of Old Pentecostal Preachers didn't like organization,some even considered it Babylon.
