I was one of those "moms" that other children didn't want to sit with but other parents would ask me to watch them during service. From a very young age, I quit letting them have books or toys in service... Nothing... Yes it was hard, but they learned really quick and because of that, they will sit still and listen. They don't fidget, doodle or have to use the restroom during service ESPECIALLY the preaching... I had to do that and it has paid off! I have to hear God's word and I was not going to let my children distract me! LOL... But that is how I was brought up and there is nothing seriously wrong with me! LOL

Sister, they take a whole large plate and fill it with these pale pink half shell clams. You then fill them up with the horseradish and hot sauce and start SLURPING!

Can't you just smell em? Yum!

Man, I'm going to get a bunch tomorrow.

Oh I know! We've just been doing 9, 8, 6, and 3 years of church training in 6 months time. lol We're making progress...but oh sometimes things are rough. I'm guessing tomorrow might be since they missed several services being with daddy. Hopefully my guess is wrong.

And I admit..when I'm fighting with God none of the kids will sit. Seems they can read mama like a book. I'm not right now....maybe they'll settle in now.

Funny thing is when I start to preach all the young ones pretty much get distracted by me. I mean they are caught off gaurd by me throwing song books at them.

I never did work up the nerve to try raw oysters when we lived in Florida.

I can smell that horseradish though...yum.

Sis, that is how it usually is... Children get restless when Mama needs something from God! It is easier for me I guess because I was brought up in this and my children are being brought up in it. But if you are consistant, it will pay off! I promise! No matter how trying it gets, stick with it!
