We used to use our Polycom system, by sending POA one of our units and then hooking up 6 ISDN lines at each church but that got EXPENSIVE. We now use dedicated lines free from online clutter and bring their video feed into ours.

They do have 1 extra audio split, I am not sure where they are sending it.

Last year they also sent 2 extra video feeds but those precious folk who received it are now deceased.

This was set up by our Associate Pastor, who got the info from me, after I worked as a sound engineer for The Ocean & Fisheries agency for Canada, Finland, and Ireland.

The guy who runs this all is our very own soundguy....a PRO!!!! And a missionary's son

Does that require someone from your church to be there? I mean, aren't you still sending it over the internet? Which would require a hard connection there at the church...

Question is this normal in some places for pastors to preach their own meetings? The last time I saw that was at Fort Worth when MK was having meetings with KP?

My hubby is there with our pastor and a few other men from the church.......I miss him! I'm glad you did this though it makes me feel as I am there in a small way. I know last year he came home a different man! I'm sure he will be touched again this year.

When we used polycom, we would send someone with the unit to help set-up. Now, someone on their end just sends the signal into their router.

I now have a slingbox, and I am checking out that technology. It may be the cheapest way to send video signals. Right now, with slingbox, I can go anywhere wiith a wi-fi connection and control any media device that I have plugged into it.

Our church webcasts to a few churches every Wed & Sun. We are blessed to be in a tech city. You can literally take a stroll to our beautiful river downtown with your laptop and go online! We have free wi-fi in Fredericton, pretty cool....eh? (threw in the eh)
