Is Wooden a writer? Or is it perhaps Woden?
And for Sis. Alvear's question/hope about Marvin Treece: I can assure you that in the almost 30 years that I have followed his ministry I have never known him to be harsh or cruel. He is a very kind man.

I've watched people take a lot of different stands on a lot of different issues, and draw lines in places way to the left of me, and still seem to keep their feet under them.
But when a man jettisons the uncut hair doctrine, it seems like that is a different thing, and sort of catapults him way out there most of the time.
That's a line you can't cross with impugnity.

I see your point dear climber. As I said I do not cut my hair but I am just warning all of us me included to be careful how I express myself and even though I may disagree with some of my best friends and may be right my spirit could be wrong.
I know people that are just as dogmatic and convinces about grape juice or wine sending each other to hell and so it is with the other things I mentioned.
I am not pleading for a hair cutting party all that know me know I would not do that. I only plead that whatever we say we say it in love for many people read thses forums. LOVE shines bright even when we disagree.
I have strong feelings about some things but I must be careful or I get the wrong spirit and thus I become wrong.
Blessings dear ones.

You know, like in a bilingual service where the Spanish preacher has to take a moment to explain the translation he just gave of what the English speaking preacher said. Sometimes the verbs and their tenses need a little going over. Since I could not find the exact translation you gave I was trying to "hear" Brother Treece for myself.

Brother Treece taught on 1st Cor 11 at a General Conference in Tenn. I was there and thought it was different. He had a scroll that he read from, and I thought that was a little odd, but when he started to present his case I felt that he stated more etymology of the Greek than what the writer of 1st Corinthians was trying to present. Still I think Brother Treece's presentation was interesting.

Dear Sister Alvear, then what do you suggest that would be the best way to find Biblical truth? Is it all just grays and fogs, and when we all die Jesus will tell us it really didn't matter anyway?
Hey? Isn't that A Course in Miracles?

Wonder if anyone ever changed their mind or their opinion? Kinda like the women preacher threads or wine or grape juice christmas celebrations or no christmas ...We all have our opinion what the Bible teaches and what issues are heaven and hell issues...I just pray that where ever I am failing the Judge will show me mercy.
I hope HE is not as hard and cutting as some people I have met along life's climb....

I am not saying Brother Treece is hard or anything like that. Sorry maybe I did not express my self clear. I am trying to say whatever we believe say it with kindness. That is all. Nothing more or nothing less and I stated I do not cut my hair. I am not a Bible teacher and enjoy reading bible studies as long as people do not try to tear each other apart. Sorry for any misunderstanding.

Just one look at our people tell the story what we have taught our people. A picture is worth a million words so they say.
