I'm sure glad I wasn't CALLED to the fashion ministry, like so many of you others appear to have been. It must be hard on you, policing all those fashion standards.

It is hard and it tears apart many people I will say. There is a whole website: spiritualabuse.org that tells alot of testimonies of how people came our of spiritual abuse.
Some preachers are so focused on controlling what the saints do and wear that it literally tears them down and makes them weak. I've seen it so much it makes me sick.
The Pastor down the road preaches against wedding rings. The other pastor doesn't and all the saints have a hard time with it because some believe it's a holiness or hell issue so they don't fellowship or have to take the ring off to not offend someone or they don't know what to do.
Lots of people have changed their minds on this issue. I have received two PMs from AFF members in the last couple weeks about it.

In response to Sister Alvear's question as to any changing their mind. I'm familiar with an author, who graduated with me from BC ,who wrote a book about hair that is "quoted" often, who wishes he had never written the book.
That's the problem with writing a book before the Spirit gets through teaching you something. You may want to go back and "edit" your work when you've grown a little wiser.
