I hate to name names because there are so many however I am deeply thankful for men that are kind and down to earth...spitting in the mike, saying hard almost cruel things to get people's attention does not make a man a great preacher in my book.

I am impressed by men who are JESUS-like. men that serve and care for others not men that think they are on some higher level than others...

There are many pastors and preachers I deeply admire and respect and time would not permit for me to list them all here...
Brother Steve Pixler is a prince of a pastor and such a gentleman. I admire his love for young preachers and his vision for his city.
I admire Brother Ben Weeks and his kindness to our family everytime we are in his area.
I really like pastors that you don't feel like they like in some kind of make believe world. Pastors you can talk to and not feel they are doing you a favor by listening.

I have a hard time no matter how "big" name the preacher is if all he wants to do is run other preachers down. Instead of being uplifted I feel depressed...I had just sat down with one and he begin to talk about where we had been and what he knew...I really felt sad that so many good things could have been said and all he said was bad things...

If you travel much you hear things like this, If you are there you cannot come here or next time you are home visit us and don't go there...lol...when are we ever going to grow up in Pentecost?

Pastors that have a problem with you visiting the church across town...pastors that want you to take sides in fights and disagreements you are not even involved in...

I enjoy being around poeple that don't care who we bless or who blesses us...I like that kind of spirit.

Are there people I don't care for? Of course but you can come to Brazil and preach for anybody and then come visit us we don't care. Who is your friend may not be our friend but we will not try to kill your friend or make you feel unconfortable at our home or churches because you might be a friend to someone that may not be our friend. My husband (Brother Raul Alvear) is one of the kindest persons you could ever met. If he speaks against someone then I know that person has problems because it is not his nature to speak evil of others.

None of the 'famous' ones hold any special rank to me. I'm sure there's many that've done good things in their own time and place, but I don't have any direct connections there.

David Beecham (he's technically my adoptive pastor though) and Fred Stanger are a couple good ones.

I always liked to hear Kenneth Philips preach but I do not know him personally. I remember amybe right after he left the UPC or during that time period he preached at a ALJC conference the theme of every message was souls.
