Your post identifies a definitive condition, so please, before you move beyond forums again, please share your assessment of these two viewpoints (without applying any names).

PS: Is "Sandra" a financial sponsor of the J-Roc & Danny myspace?
I was asked a similar question when I left/was kicked out of the UPCI. "Which particular standard did I have a problem with?" The "standard" wasn't the issue. The issue was that I had an issue and had to make a decision regarding my signature on an Affirmation Statement. In that light, here are my thoughts regarding your question:

I always (truthfully, most always) try my best to be cautious in things I say or post. Regarding the two radically opposed viewpoints, let me just say this: It really doesn't matter what the substantive differences of the viewpoints are. They exist everywhere...in every place of employment, church, family, marriage etc. I don't want to highlight the differences themselves, since they aren't the point.

The point is that whenever any of us are in those situations, we have choices to make. Can I or do I fit in "here?" (wherever "here" is) Can I make a contribution? Am I being edified? Do I feel like I have made a difference? Are my personal values being compromised. Differences are ALL around us. I believe that our calling as Christians is HOW do we manage those differences.

Some groups, due to their viewpoints and teaching will not accept compromise or much tolerance. To do so would be, in their view, a lack of integrity and possibly even sinful. But know that God uses conflict of ideas to help us grow and mature and see that the way we "think" we have things all figured out, just might not be exactly the way that it really is.

That being the case, we still have decisions to make. I have made many of those decisions. I can't tell you the number of times I have been invited to be a part of leadership in some area on my community, church, organization or what have you. Each time I do, conflict arises. It ALWAYS does when you put people together. I know who I am, how I operate and what my giftings are. I also know how much time I have and where I need to invest it. In my involvements, I must continually ask myself those questions. On more than one occasion, I have bowed out gracefully from a position of leadership or just an association.

I didn't make a statement, say that everyone else was wrong or whatever. Life is just too doggone short to waste it on things you don't think are worth investing your time in. Most things really are that simple. I don't have to have Holy Ghost "hoe down" to figure that out.

This place is full of adults. Adults don't need someone to baby sit them on an internet forum or be their "parent" and constantly try to control what someone says, their attitude etc. We owners/Admin are to be guides, not control freaks. We're providers of a communication avenue not the pastors of the people here, even though I am a Sr. Pastor. I have absolutely no authority here whatsoever, other than what anyone wants to recognize. To some that is NONE and they don't like me or what I believe or what I stand for. Others do. That is just life. Honestly, I don't have to control anything. My life is secure in Jesus Christ and that is where my security comes from.

So, if you all want to play and have a good time and share ideas and fuss and argue, then have at it. This place is for you. We'll weep with you, rejoice with you and look at your reported posts. But we're NOT the forum police. If you like this place, then hang out here as much as you want. If you don't, that's OK too. We'll love you anyway. Try to cause trouble and I will HUNT you down!! j/k

Don't know if any of this helps TBP, but at least I shared.

It is always in order for you to explain what you mean and much easier to just say what you said. So what is so pathetic, if we may ask?

And once again I ask... what have YOU done to help the direction of the forum?? All I've seen this morning in your posts are complaints. Can you point me to some posts you've made to change the direction of the "horrible turn" you feel the forum has taken? YOU are a member of this forum. If YOU are not doing your part to change the direction you think the forum is going, I guess you might want to lay part of the blame on yourself for the direction you feel the forum has taken.

wholehearted,
when you enter in with a brief statement that is wrapped with such drama as ...."This thread has become something pathetic. I cannot believe the post i read", do you do anybody, any service, to any thing?

Without commentary, you have offered nothing but a general criticism. Do you think the drama of pronouncing a "horrible turn" has any edification to the reader without you accepting some responsibility to include some kind of reference points?

Without knowing you, and in the complete absence of words from you, the motive behind this 'hit-n-run' post seems to be purely for the sake of condemning.
