Trusting God takes Courage

And I think the recent events is what inspired me to write this. When the doctor told us there was no hope, that he had done what he could, and had left us ...no, Lola...with two difficult choices, what else could we do but trust the Lord? Like Asa, we faced the decision to continue to trust the doctors, or we could trust God. I saw in the Bible what happened when Asa refused to trust God. So, Lola was faced to make a decision. She courageously decided to trust the Lord. What courage that took. I supported her in her decision. And, the Lord did what was best, and He did not fail us.

And, though I miss her so very much, I rejoice in the knowledge she is with the Lord. With courage and fortitude she trusted God with her life and, ultimately, her death. Now this is where MY courage comes in. I pray for the courage to trust God to keep me in His care until the day that I am reunited with my wife. I pray for the courage to live my life pleasing unto Him.

His grace is and will continue to be sufficient for you!
