It is simply amazing how one basic principle can applied to so many things!
Some men and women are so full of the spirit of lust that it wouldn't matter what anyone wore in front of them and to put that responsibility off on others to keep you from temptation is assinine.

By merely following "manuels" and affirmation statements or whatever, the same thing is being done. We are mere images of whatever group we are with.

But, to reflect Christ. That is the mark of a true Christian. You ever notice the Bible isn't real clear on the length of Jesus' hair? The Bible doesn't describe his clothing, or His shoes. Thats because we aren't trying to imitate Him, but we are trying to reflect Him- His nature. Our objective should be to "partake of His Divine Nature". Thats what it means to follow Christ.
Awesome! Exactly right!

Things have been added to my belief system through the understanding of grace, mercy, and sanctificaiton but it all fits perfectly together in my mind.

What do you, or don't you believe from what you were taught growing up in the church? I am curious as to how many feel alike or differently from myself.

Thank-you for responding.

I do not believe that "Outward Standards" are the Noah's ark of modern day Christianity.

I do not believe that I need to live my life worrying about the Rapture.

I need to live my life everyday as if it could be my last on earth with or without a trumpet sounding.

Plan for retirement and my kids futures.

I believe that there were Dinosaurs.

I still do not believe in Darwin's theory.

I believe that I do not have to associate with folks that keep depositing turmoil into my life.

I believe in modern day "Apostles-Prophets".

I know honest men and women that hear from the Lord can speak into our lives.

It is not as much what they say as the faith we have in God to bring it to pass.

I believe it is not about "Me" or "My Ministry".

It is about souls and worshipping God only!

If We live like we should then whenever or however the Lord calls for one, then they'll be prepared, while we have are awaiting our final resurrection we must occupy till we face Him.

Agreed, but I am talking about extremes. I remember working with certain young ladies walking into the bank who God had chosen to "bless" mightedly. And they dressed to show exactly how God had blessed them! I counted a lot of ceiling tiles when they were in the room. lol

It is not about measuring the length of fabric where there is some magic number that is too short. It is about simply being respectful. Nothing more or nothing less.
