Re: Aprons

Great post SweetPea! All that old time wisdom and knowledge from long ago. Just when I think I have you identified you pitch me another curve ball. I liked all those old memories your post brought back to my mind.

Re: Aprons

Love it, Sweet Pea.

When my grandma died, we were all allowed to pick one thing to keep as a reminder of her. There was no question in my mind. I chose her yellow gingham apron. She wore that apron alllllllllllll the time! All my life! And you all are right. She did everything in the world with that apron. One night we were at her house late. She and my dad were out in the barn, but we kids were kept in the house. Finally Grandma came into the house carrying twin lambs in her apron that had just been born. She set them up in a box in her kitchen by the stove and bottle fed them until they were ready to move out to the barn again.

Re: Aprons

Lately I have gotten two full length aprons like my grandma used to have. They sell really cute ones at Anthropologie and I got another one at a kitchen store. It has grapes to match my kitchen. I feel like a regular Betty Crocker when I put on one of those aprons!
