A very refreshing post! and on behalf of some of the conservatives here, I thank you!

Re: What I love about conservatives...

I think really we are all conservatives...just in different ways...
We tend to see things differently but if we were all lumped together...we would find good morals, tender hearts, praying people, and just down to earth good folks...

My only problem with a statement like this is that it *usually* means that if I don't agree with you on certain standards it's just because I'm not as far along in my walk with the Lord as you. I'm not saying that's what you mean.

I'm just saying that all too often, that's the way it's been put to me. "As you grow in the Lord, God will guide you and before long you'll be putting those (pants, earrings, make-up, etc) aside and it won't even be a painful thing to do"

I don't think labels are all that bad. I find them pretty helpful when I'm cooking.

You may have been bored with my suggestion that the same things could be said of moderates and liberals but many agreed with me.

Blessings, Rhoni

This is true, but this thread is not about moderates and liberals.
It's about what APOMO likes about conservatives.
