I feel like I am FINALLY back in the land of the living! Still not 100%, but I safely passed through the whiney phase, followed by the apathetic phase, into the zombie phase, had a short stay in the crabby phase, and have finally moved into the realm of mild irritation. (i.e. sick of being sick!)
And I am finally somewhat caught up at work after leaving early last thursday and friday. (I am blessed to have understanding bosses who take one look at me when I am sick and say "do what you need to do and go home!" )
Today I went and did something I have been wanting to do for awhile, I got a haircut. My hair was still so damanged after that perm I got 3 1/2 years ago. I babied it for 3 years, triming only an inch a couple times a year, and though the top part was in excellent shape, there was not much I could do for the ends.
So I followed the two-week rule of hair. Anytime you want to do anything drastic to your hair, you wait at least 2 weeks. If its something that you still want to do, then go ahead (lots of times, we are just having a bad hair day). And in my case, I actually waited closer to 2 months.
It was a hard decision because I LOVE long hair, and I really didn't want to lose the length, but on the other hand, it looked so awful and kept breaking off, no matter what I did. So I went in with a plan. I told her I wanted 3 inches off, knowing that I didn't want more than 5 inches. I thought a nice 2 inch cushion would be sufficient. When I got back to work and looked at it, I figured that she must have cut closer to 7 inches
After I got over my initial shock, I have to say that it looks good, and it got rid of the remaining damage. To most non-apostolic people it would still seem long, (half way down my back), but to me it seems really short!
I guess I have joined the ranks of bobbed-hair women. I need to go ask Bro. Epley if I should stop praying now
ETA - LaCarey! That's awesome about your house selling! You better get crackin' on the packin'!!

Checking in....I can not tell you why, but I just can't seem to get into the forum of late...just staying busy and spending more time with my Lord, and family and friends...which is all good.
I have been reading though...and I am sorry to hear all the sickness among you guys...colds can be so awful...
I have a celebration of tears here...I am happy for Carey, and Malachi, but sad for me...I am gonna miss them all very much...we don't get to see each other very often now, but it just feels good knowing they are closer than "CHICAGO"! Things have sure changed a lot in my life over the past few years...
I am feeling good, and enjoying my home, puttering about...
Miss my hubby, but one day he will be done and then home again....so I am just making the best of it.
PRESSING ON....it is very very good to see you!!!!!! I heard a rumor you were here...........someone said they were really happy you finally signed up...me too....
Blessings to you all...I shall return ...don't know when?

Thank you SisterTruthSeeker,
BOOM kept badgering me about posting at GNC and not here and so I felt guilty and signed up. NOW, I have to find a way to curb my time.
Glad you are doing well! God Bless!

PEOPLE COME INTO YOUR LIFE FOR A REASON
I am sending this to you to see how many actually read their e-mail. Your response will be interesting. Pay attention to what you read. After you have finished reading it, you will know the reason it was sent to you. Here goes:
People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they! act up and force you to take a stand. What we must r realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done! ! ! . The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season. !
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant
Thank you for being a part of my life,
whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

I am not of the view that many on here are...I don't believe you will be be condemned to hell...I have had my hair cut...had the ends evened up...I have very thin hair and when it was cut blunt along the bottom it gave the appearance of having thicker hair...I didn't feel blood drain from my body when I did it and my house didn't burn down...God whats our love and devotion and it's not determined by our hair....

I have been away for a few days. Busy with Spring gardening and Cleaning. I have been checking in for a hot minute or two and things seem to be hopping. Our church is having a Mothers Memorial Tea next Saturday, so I will be busy with that next week, so I do not know how much I will be on the computer.
My mother is have cataract surgery at the end of the month, so remember her in prayer. She is 84 and has multiple health problems, so it could get dicey. Her doctors have assured her that she will do fine. I will check in whenever I can. I just don't have a lot to post. Life is busy with the everyday stuff, nothing exciting- thank goodness.

We are doing great! I'm just thrilled you finally got all of that house selling behind you. Wonderful! Hope you are happy in your new location.
We're going to be repainting our house this year and possibly moving also. I'm going to try using the circular sander. Whoo-Hoo. My husband says I'm not strong enough to use it, but we shall see. lol!
