For Obama to sit in Wright's church for 20 years and to claim that he never heard Wright make his remarks.....he must think we're smoking crack. On some level there is an attitude of acceptance.

There is a certain level of acceptance of Wright's rhetoric, based on the listener's perception of the speaker's experience. There is an even greater level of acceptance if the speech includes elements that mirror your own experiences.
Why were 8,000 "successful" black folks on their feet and applauding this sermon? It's not because this church is filled with 8,000 hateful "Christians".
The Bob Jones incident is just one reason why 8,000 people found elements that mirror their experience in Wright's inflammatory sermon.
Wright and faggot-khan may be connected, but their "distrust" of the American govt have different roots. This is why I don't consider Wright to be racist.
