He has good points to make. We want to see people succeed. When they act offended at leaving their ebonics aside, it is very frustrating, to say the least. If you want respect, then act like you want to be educated and not like you are still back before the Civil War in your conduct.
I know that is strong, but goodness gracious. Move on, be somebody, do something for your people.

Bill Cosby is well respected not just because he pulled himself up by his bootstraps, not just because of the Cosby Show or his millions donated to education, or his sense of humor. No doubt these are wonderful things to respect him for....BUT
He is now most respected b/c of these types of comments he makes--HIS racial anger, so to speak, against some of his own race!
Bill's racial anger?
Yes, I can tell you. The impetus behind BC's racial anger was the untimely death of his eldest son, Ennis.
So now he uses his influence to talk down on blacks in America, and some in this country is eating it up.
Cuz he is saying what many have said in the privacy of their backyards or living rooms...
But say whatever he will,
I STILL maintain that if Jews can commemorate their racism, their suffering, their pain and degredation without refute...then if a black person wants to THIS IS AMERICA!!!!
There is this thing called FREEDOM OF SPEECH!!!!
Rev Wright has the right to preach whatever he wants. Some will agree some will disagree.
But those in his congregation, most of all Obama, shouldn't have to answer to the general public or the media for his thoughts.
Bill isnt...

Bill is speaking to the problem, honey. That's all there is to it. I'm not going to argue. I'm just saying, "If the black community wants respect they need to start acting educated and stop blaming everyone else."
The Jews have never NOT acted intelligent.

Ppl like Star and Bill I dont 100% agree with because they are getting ahead by putting down those in their own race. Well, Bill, he got his issue legit, at first doing stand up. Back then, he was TRUE to his race. He didnt put his ppl down...
Now that he got something and now the whole country empathizes with him because of what happen to Ennis, now he is really popular with some folks. And that is cool. This is a free country...
BUT
I believe as an African American woman in this country there is a way to
succeed' without putting down my own ppl or yes, I will go there...selling out!
Thats it...Star and BC are sellouts!
Is Obama a sellout? NO! Because he is staying true to his people AND at the same time reaching out to a country that needs REAL leadership in office. His appeal crossovers race and that is an act of God.
He is an example of what I am talking about.
But in order for that to happen, this country DOES has to openly and honestly address racial issues.
And we cant get all scared and whatever when someone's been talking like Wright.
It is called Black empowerment. That is more powerful than Bills millions to the UNCF. Or colleges...or Star's futile attempts at enlightening us on how we, too, can make it if we give our race the finger.
No, I'd rather not burn my bridges.
That's real, that's truth, and it is HIGH time that this stuff has come to this country's head.
OBAMA - US FIRST AFRICAN AMERICAN PRESIDENT! For shizzle, for rizzle!!!!

Re: Obama Addresses Racial "Anger"
We have an African American Minister originally from Ohio in our Church!
He retired from the USAF 8 years ago & has a very good paying job with a large Aerospace firm.
Aside from being a good friend and a good Christian, he said this statement which I take to heart.
He said, "no man is going to determine my destiny!"

He's a sell out for pointing out the problems with his race?
Have you read anything about major sports figures that feel pressured to stay with "their people" who don't want them to rise up past the ghetto mentality?
Goodness, someone needs to address it. If a white person does, it's racism. If Bill does he's a racist. Maybe no one wants change and no one wants to listen. That's what it is appearing to me.
Who isn't a racist that is able to address the problems? By what you are writing you don't want anyone to change. You want to keep playing the blame game.

Are you excited about voting for him because of his experience and what he can bring to being the president or just because he's black?
