Also what about the moral implications of our government knowing the Japanese were going to attack Pearl Harbor? It's been reported by some that we stood by and allowed them to bomb our Navel fleet to justify entering the Pacific theater of war. At the time it would have been political suicide to bring America into WWII because the American people were largely against American involvement.

I have heard that we knew they were coming and let Pearl Harbor happen. How true that is I don't know.
