I believe you're right. Obama should have known that his affiliation with JW's church would not go over too well with the public. His advisors should have never given him the green light to run so that another candidate, without so much controversy, could have had a chance.
Who knows, maybe Edwards would have been the Democratic nominee?!
During the exchange on these threads the last several days, I have begun to see Obama in a slightly different way than I did before last week. Something about his refusal to honor our flag and country while our national anthem played just didn't seem right to me.
