Re: Gabby's
They sure can make a mess!!! Once my I heard a hammering noise and went into the bathroom. Our son was 4 years old knocking the cabinet door off with a hammer!
I said, "Why are you doing that?"
"I don't have anything else to do."

Well, one day I was busy in the kitchen and she was in the living room playing - I went to check on her and she had made numerous messes! I don't know why but for some reason I decided to take pics of them.
So, here they are (remember, these were all made in about a 20 minute time span!).

Re: Gabby's
Here is the other pic ( at first i couldn't find it) this one was made with Jasmine's help.....
By the end of that night I was so exhausted I ended up crashing on the couch fully clothed!!! This week has been somewhat better. My husband is getting off earlier now and Ariel has been not as cranky but still making messes everywhere! Plus last week I was so tired all week but so far I have felt better this week.

I know, that is why I say I was spoiled!
The main thing is that he always watched Ariel while I did all that. Now she just roams and gets into everything because she is really too little to sit and play with anything or watch a DVD. I put her in the highchair with snacks as much as I can but that can only last so long!

Re: Gabby's
Oh QE! Dont ya just love the messes!!!!! I was a single mom and we had some stuff happen. Moved back home to mom and dads. Well I had never ever had issues with my son making messes like this. He was very oddly a baby neat freak! Even as a little baby his playpen he would put everything in one corner and it had to stay there or he would just cry and cry (Lord I wish it was still like this!!!) So nothing out of character for him had ever happened. He wouldnt mess with anything he wasnt supposed to. I didnt even ever babyproof my house. I had glass and antiques everywhere and never touched em!
There was this one day about 2 days after we moved into mom and dads... we heard a knocking! I thought it was someone knocking on the front screen as we locked it so the kids couldnt get out so instead of knocking on the wood door visitors had to knock on screen... so I go running to the door and I hear the knock get louder and louder and I am yelling I am coming... closer I get I see no one... get to the door and huh??? No one is there! KNOCK!!! BANG!!! CRASHHH!!! SHATTER!!!!! It was Mike in the front bedroom with one of those wood hammers that comes with the block sets... hammering the window right out of the wall!!!!!!!!!!

Amen been there done that! I used to be told (my ex of course not my husband LOL) That if it needed done it was my responsibility! I did it every day for years with 3 kids!
I am now blessed with a husband who helps out all the time when he is home. His 2 weeks home he firmly believes ( No matter how much I do he will complain) that his job is to do the housework( I havent let him do laundry yet tho!) and tend to the kids while he is home... because he is gone 2 weeks a month. He teases me every time he comes in and says ok... give me the key to the kids!
He is awesome and I do enjoy the break!

Re: Gabby's
If there is somthing to get into Ariel will get into it!!! I have been looking for some cabinet locks that we don't have to screw in place and I cant't find any that will work for us as a temporary need. She gets into every cabinet she sees. The other day she took all the toilet paper rolls that sit in a basket next to our toilet and threw them all in the bathtub that was still damp from a shower!! I only let her in there when I am in there doing my hair and during that time she finds everything to get into even if she has toys in there!
