Okay, I finally got a closer inspection. It was a Texas Rat Snake, which is normally called a Chicken Snake and does resemble a Rattlesnake from a distance.

He must have killed it in the yard. So, my dog ran off the cat and now I have a dog and snakes. lol He kept running into my Azelea bush, so I think that's where he caught it.



Creepy!!!!!!

This snake looks a lot like the one my husband killed for me last week. Although I think ours had more black on it.

Really scary!
