I have to share my episode with blinds for my new house.
The day we moved in we went to Lowes and bought 3 sets of blinds for 3 large windows. There was only one person working in the area so we had to wait over 30 minutes to be serviced.
We chose our blinds had them cut and went on our way.
Finally, my husband got around to putting them up to find out they were all cut the wrong size. Back to the store we went to have them we cut. Again, another long wait. My husband was so mad he was about ready to leave with them as is and let the manager know how he felt about the lack of service. Glad I waited in the car.
Gets home and another week later he hangs one set. Fits fine.
Another week and he hangs another one. They were too long and width was cut to short. We lived with it. He cut the length off these since they were veriticals.
Finally, this week he decides to hang my other blind, gets it hung just to find out it is broken the blinds won't go up or down. Back to the store I go. These things are heavy since they are 1" wooden blinds for a 71x71 window.
I get to the store and have to get a refund, since they wouldn't do just a simple exchange. I told her I had to take them with me to the dept for them to know what size they needed to be cut. She puts a return sticker on it and away I go.
You guessed it. Another LONG wait. Only one person can cut the blinds and she also mixes the paint. Everyone was wanting paint. So finally, I leave my blinds by the cutting machine and go get in line as she wasn't leaving any of the paint customers. Another lady came up and needed 4 gals of paint. I looked at her like "I'm still waiting"! And she tells the lady she will be right back she needs to go cut a blind.
We get the cutting machine and someone has taken my blinds! We looked the store over. I talk to a manager and explain the problem I have had everytime I come to have my blinds cut. He said go back to the blind dept and he will have someone come help me.
I wait and wait and no one comes. By now it is 1:30 and I haven't had lunch and my blood sugar starts dropping. I tell the manager I have to eat and I will be right back and gave him my cell phone number. While eating it dawns on me I gave him my husbands prefix and my number. OH what at day!
Finally, I pick out new blinds give him the measurement of the window and I HOPE he cut them the right width.
No, my husband has not hung them yet. Still in the car!!!
Moving is NOT fun!!!
