I agree about WalMart- the prices are great and I go there if I can go in the middle of the day, on a week day and I need a lot of stuff. But if I am in a hurry, or I just need a few things, or if it is a weekend- I go to our locally owned grocery. It is worth paying more for the service your get and soooo much less hassle.

You've got that right. The ONLY time that I have found I don't have to wait is the few times I have gone before work. The 6:00-6:30 crowd isn't nearly as thick as others, for some reason!

I hope all you ladies had a Happy Mother's Day!

I had a nice suprise from my hubby yesterday.

First of all remember way back when I got my pics of the girls as an early mother's day present? well in addition to that Friday when I picked them up from my MIL's Jasmine had a rose and a card for me then, Saturday morning I got a manicure and a pedicure as my mother's day gift then Sunday morning I got a little baggie of goodies from Jasmine (they made them in her SS class) then my husband gave a card with $100.00 in it!!!!! I was so suprised! So, it turned out to be a really good mother's day for me this year!!

Gotta prayer req of yall and didnt really want to start a thread about this cuz God knows where it would end up...

The father of my oldest kiddos has decided to quit his job because of the fact that I went to the attorney that the state gave for the children and requested that my child support be raised (it was a whole whopping 75 dollars per child a month!) and he is irate that it has been raised to 500 a month so he decided to quit his job. I know he is working somewhere under the table because he has 4 other kids living with him and 2 others he is paying for and she (the mother of the other 2 not living w him) is still getting money. When I called the AG office today they said there is really nothing they can do right now until they find out that well... its just a long process when he does this.. in time he will go to jail but its a long process. Will you all just pray that he will quit being stupid. This is hurting the kids because they are old enough to know when the check comes (it pays their cell phone bills so they definitely know because it was an auto draft and today their phones got shut off because I didnt know the money wasnt in their account)

Needless to say they are very upset and my son is more hurt than anything because he just got off the phone w his dad on Sun and his dad said that he would send extra child support for the next few months to help pay for his car and all this good jazz and now it went from little to nothing. The money has never been an issue for me.. I have always promised to never make money an issue around my kids and its always been completely theirs.. for whatever they needed. Usually fun spending money for them for the month except for Christmas when I use it to get them gifts and put his name on them because he does not buy bday or Christmas for them.. this has been a huge blow and they really feel like he is cutting them out and they dont understand.

Another reason this is so hard is because for those who dont know me.. I was not married to their dad but my ex husband raised them as his own for all of their lives. And then a yr after he got remarried he told them he could no longer see them but continued to see their little sister *who is his* but its just the fact they feel this is a repeat of that and its tearing them. D was the only dad they knew.. he quit having anything to do with them and then they began to have a relationship with their real dad and now this... Rob is their daddy... he is the only one they have a true father child relationship with but they do not need this... sorry for unloading all this but the kids need yalls prayers please and thanks in advance
