Brother...this thread is rather amusing. That extra special son in law rarely gets to visit and you do want him to come back to church with you. I think I would have left quietly one at a time to encourage the SinL to come back again. Do you think he will be visiting again to go to church with you? I probably would tell my SinL...now when you come back, we will take off earlier to get to spend more time with you at lunch.

Believe me, I too have been in those lonnnnnnnng services! Yes, I sat there and enjoyed most of the time most of the time.
