Re: Commode Huggin' Blues

Country music hurts my ears, I grew up in the 60's. Did Bill Cosby write this song? He has a great routine about this subject.

Re: Commode Huggin' Blues

I voted no, mainly because it's not focused on being delivered from drinking by the Lord. I liked the song though.

YEE HAWW is right! It's about as country as Greens and Pig Tails with Cornbread!

No, it was actually written by Del Way of Kerrville, Texas.

I appreciate your honesty and you are correct. The focus is not about deliverance, it's just a reminder, from a somewhat humorous perspective, that it's not really a good time at all. Glad you liked it.

Also, many of the songs that I've recorded are about deliverance. I am the most undeserving of God's mercy and grace, as I lived a life for many, many years running from Him and practicing total rebellion. He has a way of getting our attention and bringing us back to where we need to be. I am so grateful for what He's done in my life.

Did you speak in tongues the first time at a church in southernish IN? You look like this fella who spoke in tongues for the first time at this church I visited, then got up and sang, "Why Me, Lord" afterwards.
