You are overreacting a bit to me. Our sister removed it with a right spirit because she didn't want to offend a brother.

Re: Your experience when you dropped "dress standa

Years ago, Mike and Tricia Bingham were preaching a revival at my home church. One Sunday afternoon, we decided to get together as a group and play a game of softball. There was a guy at the field who most of us knew from high school, and he wanted to play. Problem was he had been to the community pool, and while his glove was in his car, a shirt wasn't. One guy in particular with our group said he didn't want his wife exposed to this guy's naked torso. In a moment of wisdom I have always remembered though it was more than twenty years ago, Bro. Mike said, "My wife's got enough Holy Ghost to not be lusting."

Oh please, RW give me a break, like anyone is sheltered that much in this world.

Very few actually ever are (but I know of some), and yet the goal so often SEEMS to be as sheltered as possible or at least make the world think that.

As I said, I don't have much patience people with people seeing "dirty" in things that aren't "dirty." I realize it was "just an avatar", but the whole thing's been eating at me since it happened. It's indicative of this ridiculous notion in the church that the human body is somehow dirty and men and women don't know how to control themselves when they see one that's naked. Anyone who'd let themselves get turned on by a cartoon image has much bigger issues to deal with than having one removed from someone's profile, in my opinion.

Rico, it's not that big of a deal.......we have a wide array of posters here and I believe it's Biblical to not offend our brothers.

The poster was quick to take it down for that reason.

That is a very common sight in Texas in the summer. And even in our small town a lot of young girls either want to go as topless as possible or even wear shorts that are very indecent without getting arrested. Not everyone loves to see nearly naked people at Wal-Mart.
