My guess is that many other posters, visitors, and would-be members do the same thing. If it were a sub-forum of the Fellowship Hall, like The Tab, The Newsroom, and these other sub-forums, it would more than likely get more traffic and some actual debating going on. I've been perusing that area today and there are some good topics in it. Topics I am sure more of us would find interesting. I've pretty much talked about my wife, politics, cars running on water, etc., until I am blue in the face. I want meat!!!

Hey...I understand we have *ahem* technically challenged members.
Let me try this again...The Debate Room was created specifically for controversial subjects. Some that mainstream Apostolics don't agree with, and don't want to see plastered all over everytime they come to the forum.
The Fellowship Hall was created to be just that...a place for fun and fellowship. Yes, many times the controversial subjects and debates start here, but when the fuss and buss is over, we move it to the Debate Room, where it can either be picked up again and played with by those folks who aren't so technically challenged as to not be able to find the room, or it can sit dormant and be in the right archived place.
We can't make everybody happy, but we certainly make some folks happy.
We have many rooms in this mansion...go...be free...discover!

Technically challenged? That done it! I thought we'd be able to reach an amicable solution, but it's plain to see all you wanna do is treat some of us like second class posters! Where's my pistol???
Seriously, I know what you are saying and understand the reasoning behind moving things off the general discussions area. I can't speak for anyone else, but I have always scrolled down far enough to where "Fellowship Hall" shows on the main page, click, and then get to posting. Having the Debate Forum at the bottom of the screen makes it easy to completely miss and not know it's even there in the first place. That's why I was thinking that making the debate area a sub-forum of the main Fellowship Hall would give it more traffic. Either way, I know it's there now, but I am sure there are others who don't.

Re: The Debate Room
We appreciate your input. We like to know what our posters are thinking.
Hopefully you just drew a bit more attention to it, and there will be a few more that find it.

I didn't think I could convince y'all to move it, but I figured it was worth a shot anyway.

Ah Rico. Just be honest. You want a fight, that's all.
Well, I cannot fight ya myself. I never get in a battle of wits with an unarmed man.

The Debate section was also created separate so that it could be hidden from non-registered (and non-signed in) guest. Thus if someone is not signed in, they cannot see the area at all. The thought was that since this was to be an Apostolic site, we didn't want non-Apostolic doctrines to represent us on the web (via search engine spiders), but at the same time wanted to give a place for those that wanted to debate these issues.
