As well as Firearms and personal protection, I would never bring a firearm to church, if someone wanted to attack me in the meeting place then I assume that God is allowing that to happen, I find no place to defend oneself in the scripture while engaged in gospel ministry other than to run or seek shelter. On the otherhand I feel it is my God ordained right both as the Man of the House as well as those rights affored by the Constitution to defend my house with a firearm of my choice.

Great news!

You really like to throw that "Prove it" out there don't ya.
Here it is in RED letter.
Matt 5:39-45
39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.
AND...
1 Thess 5:15
15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

I thought this to be a interesting scripture regarding personal safety and arming oneself.
Luke 22:36Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
Anyone care to guess what a sword was used for?

Keith,
I am so glad things worked out. As far as arms go it would be justfine with me if every church had at least one usher with a carry permit and a concealed weapon.
God does not magically protect people just because they are in a church as witnesed by every year a nut or two killing people at church.
I believe God holds us responsbile for protecting our families, etc.
In a day and age with so many nut cases and terrorism it only makes sense to be prepared anyplace where people gaterh, including church.
At CC we actually have off duty police officiers who direct traffic and are on the premises during services with their uniforms and sidearms on.
